On this Thanksgiving Day, remember to always pass to the right at the dinner table. While you could make an argument that some etiquette is just arbitrary and a matter of taste, this rule come from a place of practicality. When you pass to the right, the next person to have the plate will naturally take it with their left hand as this is the hand closest to the plate being passed. This leaves their right hand (the favored hand for most people) free to dole out the desired portion. Sorry lefties....looks like you are overlooked again.
