Michael Jay Fox was in Boston Legal?
He had a recurring guest role. Two or three episodes.
I could also do a slightly longer one using MJF's recurring appearance on Scrubs, which also contains that guy from Ed (Cavanagh) in which Julie Bowen plays the girl Ed's always trying to get to love him. The rest is the same.

BOTH Dave Foley and Michael J. Fox had recurring roles on Scrubs. (Dave played a grief counselor and appeared in at least two episodes) Zero degrees, baby.
