My principal popped in my room today to observed for about 15 minutes. When he left he gave me a thumbs up, and said "great lesson." That was validating.
I've also been thinking lately that the "thumbs up" sign is underused. Everyone loves a good thumbs up and an Agent Cooper "Aces!" to go along with it. Get on the bandwagon, people! When properly used, I guarantee a thumbs up will make someone's day.

i thught for a second that oyu were amkign fun of me (not that you would have any way of knowing this) because i have to wear a brace on my hand that holds my thumb in a permanent thumbs up position. it does eventualyy get old.
what happened to your hand?
i use the thumbs up from time to time. however, usually i think i use it in a sarcastic manner. like someone will say "how's it going" or something and i will give a thumbs up and say something like "awesome." but won't really mean it.
tore a ligament in my thumb.
